Redeem your story

Here at English Oaks Seventh Day Adventist Church , we know that everyone has a story. The beauty of the gospel is that no matter what your life's story is, Jesus has come to redeem it and give it another ending. That's why we proclaim that we can not stop speaking about what we have seen and heard!
Dear English Oaks family,

This past sabbath Pastor Manny is presented "Takeout for 5,000". Have you ever felt like people wanted to be around you not necessarily for who you are but for what you do or what you have? This was happening with Jesus as told in the story about the feeding of 5,000 men. Jesus and his disciples crossed the Sea of Tiberius to the eastern shore where a large crowd followed him. However, they did not follow him because of who he was, but for what he did. They saw the signs Jesus was performing. These signs led them to follow him. This is where we must ask ourselves, “Why am I following Jesus? Is it because what he does for me? Is it because of the benefits I get from him? Or is it because of who he is, the Messiah, the resurrected savior?” Join us this Sabbath as we look deeper into this story and discover how it can impact our lives and the lives of others.
