Redeem your story

Here at English Oaks Seventh Day Adventist Church , we know that everyone has a story. The beauty of the gospel is that no matter what your life's story is, Jesus has come to redeem it and give it another ending. That's why we proclaim that we can not stop speaking about what we have seen and heard!
Dear English Oaks family,

This past sabbath Pastor Ernie presented "Uneasy Friendship". Peter’s confession Jesus being Messiah is immediately followed by Jesus’ first passion prediction: the Son of man must suffer and be rejected, then killed but will rise again. “No way!” protested Perter. “We don’t want a convicted criminal for our leader. We’ll never succeed if you do that.” Surprisingly, Jesus censures Peter with harsh words. “If you want to play human games of power, success, and triumphalism, then you’re demonically inspired. If anyone wants to follow me, then deny yourself and take up your cross. You must be willing to lose your life in this world.”
